Todd has developed some of the most cutting edge eBusiness, BDC and showroom sales strategies and solutions for a variety of clients including Ford, Ford of Canada, AutoNation, Budget Car Sales, Maritz Inc, Mazda North America, Toyota Motors Sales, ADP AutoTrader.com and over 1,500 dealerships across the U.S.
Ted Rubin Co-founder and President
Ted is the Co-founder and President of ActivEngage, Inc. He is a leading expert on Operations Management, Internet process deployment, and technology development and utilization in the automotive industry. Ted has more than 20-years in the automotive industry , and has held virtually every position available in both dealership sales and service departments. In 2000, Ted co-founded one of the leading CRM companies in the automotive industry, which was gainfully sold to JM Family Enterprises six years later. Ted has worked with many recognized manufacturers and automotive companies to develop sales strategies, business development processes and effective training. These include: Toyota Motor Sales, Volkswagen, Renault, Southeast Toyota and Reynolds & Reynolds, as well as hundreds of individual dealerships.
Eric Schlesinger National Director of Sales
Eric has over 20 years of Automotive Retail and Vendor Experience. He spent 15 years with a large dealer group in Philadelphia where he started one of the most successful Internet Retail Departments in the country. He went on to become the Director of Sales and eCommerce for the group, which became the largest Honda dealer and largest Toyota retailer in the state . Eric then went on to become the first Regional Director and eventually Vice President of Sales for Izmocars. He has been a member of the ActivEngage team for almost two years.
Andrew Shansky Chief Technology Officer
Andrew Shansky is the Chief Technology Officer at ActivEngage. He has 7 years of professional programming experience with expertise in the following areas: service-oriented architecture, agile development and .NET. Andrew earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Tennessee.
Michael Third Director of Software Architecture
Michael Third is the Director of Software Architecture at ActivEngage. He has more than 25 years of experience in software architecture and distributed systems. Michael has previously held software architect positions at Beeline, DMEAutomotive, and JM Family Enterprises.
Carol Marshall Director of Training and Virtual Sales
Carol has more than 12 years of automotive industry experience. She has held executive in-store positions such as General Sales Manager. More recently, she held positions with national organizations such as Mazda N.A. and AutoNation as Sales Process Manager and National Manger of eCommerce Field Operations, respectively.
Eric Frew Accounting Director
Eric is the Accounting Director for ActivEngage. He came to the company with 22 years of finance management inside the software industry. Most recently, he managed the financial analysis and planning (FP&A) functions for Symantec software’s 1,700-person Information Management Group. Eric is a Certified Management Accountant, a Certified Treasury Professional, and earned an MBA degree in Finance from Loyola Marymount University. His hobbies include travel, reading, and golf.
Amy Wheeler Human Resources Director
Amy is the Human Resources Director for ActivEngage. She is responsible for implementing and driving all human resources strategies associated with building ActivEngage’s reputation as a great place to work. She also helps provide a learning environment where employees feel comfortable to learn and grow. Amy brought an extensive HR background with her to ActivEngage. Most notably, she was the Staff Human Resources Business Partner for Symantec Corporation’s 1,700-person global Information Management Group. Amy earned a Master of Labor and Human Resources from The Ohio State University and is an avid Buckeye fan. She is the proud mother of two sons and one Labrador Retriever with whom she spends most of her free time.
Joe Vraneza Director of Outside Sales
Joe Vraneza is the Director of Outside Sales for ActivEngage. He brings over 20 years of proven sales achievement and team management skills. Prior to joining ActivEngage, Vraneza was the Vice President of Dealer Sales and Marketing for Kelley Blue Book for over 10 years and was responsible for leading the company’s national dealer sales teams and overseeing the growth of dealer advertising on kbb.com. He has also held executive positions with national companies like Ticketmaster’s Citysearch.com and Enterprise Rent-a-Car, respectively. Joe has a Bachelor of Science in Communication and Business Management from Point Loma University in San Diego, California. His hobbies include surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, and Yoga.
